I was listening to an investment show and they were talking about good advice.  Someone called in with some advice they were given by a supposed advisor.  The host of the show clarified that the person was not a financial advisor but a sales man giving recommendations in order to make a commission on any product that they sold.  He said if you want good advice go to an advisor who is not trying to sell products but is being paid for their expertise in finance.  Someone that you pay to look out for your best interest.  I was struck by how the same advice holds true for all industries especially the tree care industry.  Be careful taking advice from someone who is trying to sell you something.  The advice you get could be to line their pockets and may not be in your best interest.
